Digital speed control of hydraulic motors using the CX-1010 introduces speed accuracy not usually found in hydraulic systems. Also the motors can be made to follow and do many other control schemes usually reserved for electric motors. The slow speed of hydraulic motors requires that a high pulse per revolution feedback device be used in order to preserve resolution and precision. Also some type of electrical interface is sometimes required between the controller and servo valve to supply the current demands of the valve.
