The M-Shuttle does a precision speed and position match between the registration mark on the product and the saw carriage. When the carriage has accelerated to match speed and is in position an output from the M-Shuttle tells the saw to start its' cross cut. When the cut is complete the saw shuttle stops and makes a rapid traverse back to the follower sync position where it will wait for the next lead sync pulse. If the product is not marked the job space is calculated by counting the lead encoder pulses based on the setpoint. Dwell times at each end of travel are adjustable.
