The follower motor drives the lapper carriage that guides the fabric into an even stack. For any given web speed the carriage must move away from the infeed at a slower rate than the return stroke. These two speeds can be achieved by the M-Shuttle. The stroke length can also be entered into the controller. If dwells are required at the end of travel they can be entered as a length of material infeed. Programmable outputs on the controller are available for use during the cycle.
