OVERVIEW

Replacing discontinued equipment while under the pressure of full production is stressful - not just for your maintenance personnel, but also to your bottom-line!  That is why, for a limited time*, Contrex is offering to trade-up any discontinued CX-1000 controller with a new CX-1010 precision digital controller.

Though they were replaced by the better performing CX-1010 back in 2001, there still are hundreds of original CX-1000 controllers in use by manufacturers.  Each year a few come back for repair or refurbishment.  However, most service parts are now obsolete and unavailable, making replacement the only option.

Contrex recommends replacing any CX-1000 with a new CX-1010 now before the economy kicks back into gear and production demands ramp up.  Though mostly backward compatible with the CX-1000, the CX-1010 has a few minor differences in programming parameters and encoder power supply voltage.  These differences are better addressed during a scheduled replacement versus an emergency when lost production capacity counts.

RESTRICTIONS

CX-1000 must be sent in prior to shipping new CX-1010.  The units sent in for trade-up must contain a power supply, logic, and display board (and Analog and DeviceNet boards if applicable); in any condition.  The $300 Trade-up Allowance is good only towards the purchase of the new CX-1010.
