The M-Drive provides precision speed control to standalone (Master) or multi-motor (Follower) motion control applications. Using advanced digital feedback techniques, the M-Drive can increase speed precision to within 0.01% of set speed in Master mode applications. When configured as a Follower in multi-motor systems, the M-Drive can provide zero accumulative error using a speed ratio setpoint. Embedded scaling algorithms permit setpoint (set speed) entry and tach monitoring in engineering units specific to your application.

The M-Drive is housed in a ½ DIN vertical instrument enclosure with embedded operator
interface. The integrated display and keypad panel gains access to numerous control and monitor
parameters. Individual application requirements are met by simply accessing the relevant code
parameter and then entering the appropriate numerical value. Because the M-Drive is pre-
programmed, applications can be commissioned in a matter of minutes once the drive
has been installed. A full compliment of monitor parameters are available to verify operation and
assist with diagnostics.
The M-Drive has a serial port for RS422/485 communication. ContrexHost software, when
installed on a Windows PC or laptop, allows you to initiate commands, change parameters,
load/save setup values, and monitor more than 50 values on one or up to 32 channels of M-Series controls.
Features:
Pre-programmed control algorithms for Master, Follower and Follower-with-Offset control.
Up to four preset Master or Follower setpoints with on-the-fly digital input reconfiguration.
Optional analog card accommodates input signals from line speed, flow, tension, PLC or dancer position sensors.
The precision lead and feedback frequency inputs utilize either magnetic pick-up or open-collector encoder and proximity sensors.
Six programmable digital outputs are provided for drive status and alarm functions.
